How does it work?

The OBD device contains an extraordinarily fast Atmel Processor ( 20 Mhz) with FLASH and SRAM memory. That memory contains a 3D table of contents called a map. The map provides information about fuel injection, amount of fuel, supercharging pressure, temperature of supplied air, air density, RPM, throttle position and other variables. The OBD box adjusts the received data in a way that causes increase in performance and decrease in fuel consumption. Nonetheless, the tuning box modifies all the data within the limits set by the manufacturer. It means the engine is always protected along with the manufacturer warranty. One of the biggest advantages of this product is that it does not change the ECU flash counter or file size. This tune is 100% not detectable. Most importantly, it works on all vehicles manufactured after 1999 ( 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic connector ) including today’s brand new models.

The tool was developed with three basic consumer requirements:

What is Chip Tuning?

The OBD chip tuning is an innovative way to increase your vehicle’s speed and performance, while also improving gas mileage. It works by using an electronic control module (power box)to modify the electronic control unit (ECU) attached to your vehicle’s engine. The ECU is the standard “black box” that provides signals for ignition, injection and exhaust regulation to the engine.

Users can simply install the OBD chip tuning module through an original manufacturer’s plug, without making any modifications to either the engine or the ECU. The external control module simply alters the ECU input’s signals in real time, while optimizing the engine maps several thousand times per second. The result is immediate and obvious performance improvement and decreased fuel consumption.

The best part of external control module chiptuning is that it keeps all motor protection programs intact, eliminating the risk of overloading certain engine components. Your vehicle’s original software doesn’t change.While regular permanent ECU remap software tuning can be detected by the vehicle manufacturer and logged in your service record, OBD tuning box leaves no traces when removed.

About OBD

OBD tuning box is the first in the world module of its type. It differs from other chip boxes as it is plugged into the OBD Interface, and so the installation takes place inside the car cabin. Once plugged, the OBD tuning box receives the data from the ECU and adjusts all the variables in a way that obtains significant increase in power and fuel savings.

What is the OBD2 16 Pin Standard diagnostic Connector?

The OBD2 standard specifies the type of diagnostic connector and its pinout, the electrical signalling protocols available, and the messaging format. It also provides a candidate list of vehicle parameters to monitor along with how to encode the data for each. There is a pin in the connector that provides power for the scan tool/OBD Digital Chip Tuning Box from the vehicle battery, which eliminates the need to connect a scan tool/tuning box to a power source separately. Finally, the OBD2 standard provides an extensible list of DTCs. As a result of this standardization, a single device can query the on-board computer(s) in any vehicle.
OBD2 standardization was prompted by emissions requirements, and though only emission-related codes and data are required to be transmitted through it, most manufacturers have made the OBD2 Data Link Connector the only one in the vehicle through which all systems are diagnosed and programmed. OBD-II Diagnostic Trouble Codes are 4-digit, preceded by a letter: P for engine and transmission (powertrain), B for body, C for chassis, and U for network. The OBD2 connector is required to be within 2 feet (0.61 m) of the steering wheel (unless an exemption is applied for by the manufacturer, in which case it is still somewhere within reach of the driver).

Engine damage? Not with OBD chip tuning:

The OBD unit is an additional control device. This means, it modifies and optimises the values of the manufacturer’s engine control unit and thus increases the performance of the vehicle. However, this performance increase is always in line with the technically feasible scope.
Engine protection functions are not bypassed or deactivated, therefore adverse values are detected and blocked by the engine control unit. So, you don’t have to worry about the engine, gear and other vehicle components.

You don’t have to worry about damages on the engine and gear. To avoid problems during service or other repairs you can remove the OBD box within a few seconds.
The vehicle can be brought to the retailer in its original condition without further costs and efforts. And after the appointment the module can be quickly reinstalled.

There is a little button – what is it for?

It is the RESET button. OBD tuning boxes can be used in a couple of cars, provided that those vehicles have the same fuel type. When you decide to mount your chip in a different car all you have to do is to unplug the chip and press the Reset button for 2 seconds. In this way you delete the settings written in the memory of the chip and the module is ready to receive new data from another vehicle.
